Experience

  • Previous MRB Signing Authority within the past 3 to 5 years
  • 3+ years with Boeing products or supply chain preferred
  • Structure/design engineer experience with Boeing 737 or 787

Responsibilities
  • Carry out design analysis and create design dispositions for assembly manufacturing non‑conformances, assessing different repair scenarios for fit, form and function
  • Process detail and sub‑assembly concessions from risk sharing partners and Final Assembly Lines
  • Identify the most efficient methods for analysis whilst ensuring adherence to relevant airworthiness and customer procedural requirements
  • Liaise with multiple functions/suppliers (e.g., Design/Stress approvers) to ensure the most appropriate design solution is met with consideration to cost, time, performance and installation requirements
  • Customer facing
  • Explain and escape critical issues and mentor others
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a BS in Aerospace Engineering (Mechanical, Design, Structural etc.)
  • Experience working on Boeing products and structures either directly or within the Supply Chain, for a minimum of three years, ideally having held a level of delegated technical approval
  • Knowledge across 737/787 or similar aircraft variant programs, preferably with both metallic and composite capabilities
  • Understanding of material properties, production & manufacturing methods and practices and their effect on aircraft performance
  • Working knowledge of CATIA V5 for interrogation and drawing/model modification
  • Previous Design Organization Approval (DOA) would be advantageous for the role
  • Completed concessions processing courses
  • TIPQA an advantage
  • SAP NCMS knowledge essential
