Wichita Collegiate School (WCS), a thriving independent school located in Wichita, KS, will add a passionate and dedicated Middle School art teacher to our team for the 2026-27 school year. Our Middle School Art Teacher will teach up to five sections of various art styles and modalities. Coursework may include 2D and 3D art. The teacher will prepare and deliver engaging learning experiences aligned with the scope and sequence outlined by Wichita Collegiate School, and spark curiosity in our students.
In addition to teaching art classes, the new teacher may also advise a group of 10-15 students.

They are willing to support WCS beyond the classroom with their time and talents to expand the student experience. Their curiosity for learning drives a commitment to professional growth, and they actively participate in school‑led professional development activities (including faculty meetings).

Our fine arts teachers come from diverse backgrounds but share a commitment to delivering high‑quality instruction to students. This position requires a bachelor’s degree in education or art; a graduate degree in art is preferred but not required.
Three years of classroom experience is preferred; advanced education or relevant professional experience may substitute for classroom experience.

Collegiate Educators are expected to be on campus from August 1 through May 31. During the school year, school hours are 7:30 am to 4:30 pm; schedules vary by department and may require work beyond 4:30 pm. Faculty members are expected to participate in school activities to foster our sense of community, which may require evening and/or weekend hours.
