Position: Adjunct Faculty, Short Term Health (CNA/CMA)

Overview / Job Summary

Adjunct Faculty, Short Term Health (CNA/CMA) – The Adjunct Faculty Instructor for Short Term Health courses provides essential subject matter expertise and is responsible for teaching courses designed to prepare students for immediate employment in health-related fields.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise students in all assigned classroom and lab activities and clinicals to ensure a safe and effective learning environment
  • Provide clear course objectives and maintain open communication with students regarding content, requirements, and evaluation procedures
  • Develop, revise, and recommend curriculum enhancements to meet course objectives and improve student learning outcomes
  • Ensure adherence to WSU Tech Course Standards by employing effective teaching methods and reflecting current practices in health care
  • Create a supportive and engaging classroom atmosphere conducive to student success
Requirements Education
  • PN Technical Certificate required for LPN
  • Associates degree required or BSN for RN
Preferred Experience & Skills
  • Experience in the health care field, particularly in short-term health education required
  • Previous teaching or training experience in adult education preferred
  • Current certifications related to health care professions, such as CPR, First Aid, or specific clinical skills, are an advantage
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing, with the ability to engage and inspire students
  • Familiarity with digital learning platforms and willingness to utilize hybrid teaching methods as needed
