Position: Industry Trainer Bombardier (FAA Part 65 A&P)

Wichita State University Campus of Applied Sciences and Technology (WSU Tech) is seeking an experienced aviation professional to serve as an Embedded Instructor for the FAA Part 65 Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic Certification Fast Track Program supporting Bombardier Aviation employees. This role blends classroom and hands‑on instruction in an accelerated environment and plays a critical role in preparing participants for FAA certification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver FAA Part 65‑aligned instruction and Bombardier‑specific training in both classroom and field settings
  • Prepare participants for Oral & Practical (O&P) exams and coordinate testing logistics with FAA Designated Mechanic Examiners
  • Facilitate on‑site and off‑site training sessions, including setup, execution, and closeout
  • Track attendance, performance, and certification progress while providing regular feedback to program leadership
  • Collaborate with Bombardier and WSU Tech teams to ensure training quality, compliance, and continuous improvement
Requirements
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification and at least five years of relevant aviation maintenance or instructional experience
  • Strong working knowledge of FAA Part 65 regulations and certification processes
  • Experience delivering FAA‑aligned technical instruction or workforce training
  • Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Ability to travel and maintain flexible scheduling as needed
Preferred
  • Experience in corporate aviation or OEM‑specific training environments
  • Prior instruction at a Part 147 or Part 65 training institution
  • Familiarity with Bombardier aircraft systems or technical documentation
  • Background in curriculum development or instructional design
