Adjunct Professor of Clinical Skills - Physicianship

Reporting to the Associate Dean of Pre-Clinical Professional Education and Experience s, this role will provide instruction specifically in Clinical Skills for the Physicianship Track.

Teaching (100%)

• Works with Department Chair to provide hands‑on student training in history and physical assessment, diagnostic testing, and procedural skills
• Assists in monitoring the progress of all students to ensure successful progress toward graduation and recommend disciplinary action when necessary
• Teaches in assigned courses
• Assist in student testing, re‑testing and remediation as necessary
• Develop clinical scenarios for standardized patient education assessment/evaluation and simulation education/assessment
• Perform other related duties, as assigned

• Health professional with the following degrees: DO, MD, Paramedic, APN, PA
• Clinical experience providing direct patient care in their specialty
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail oriented and have excellent interpersonal skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products and desire and ability to learn course management software/distance learning technologies
• Please provide examples of accomplishments, skills, and publications

• Experience in precepting Osteopathic medical students in a clinical setting
• Experience as an instructor in a clinical skills course or CME course
• Point of Care Ultrasound as well as experience with Simulation

• Leadership abilities in influencing and shaping performance
• Strong interpersonal skills and enthusiasm to contribute to organizational growth and development
• Strong team & people management skills
• Strong, effective, and diplomatic oral communication skills
• Public speaking skills
