Job Summary
CSI Companies is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Nephrologist for a long-term contract opportunity in Wichita, KS
. This role provides comprehensive nephrology care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, diagnosing and managing kidney-related diseases while collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic kidney diseases, including CKD, AKI, ESRD, and glomerular disorders.
- Provide inpatient consults and outpatient clinic care for patients with kidney-related conditions.
- Manage dialysis patients, including coordination with on-site or affiliated dialysis services.
- Evaluate and treat hypertension, electrolyte imbalances, and renal-related metabolic disorders.
- Interpret laboratory data, imaging, and diagnostic tests related to renal disease.
- Document all clinical encounters accurately and timely in the medical record system.
- Collaborate with primary care providers, hospitalists, surgeons, and specialty teams to coordinate patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review, and performance improvement activities.
- Educate patients and families on kidney disease management, treatment options, and preventative care.
- Adhere to clinical policies, healthcare regulations, and evidence-based medical guidelines.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Nephrology Fellowship
. - Board Certified or Board Eligible in Nephrology
. - Active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory.
- DEA registration (or ability to obtain).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (ACLS preferred, if applicable).
- Prior experience in inpatient and outpatient nephrology practice.
- Experience managing complex, chronic medical conditions in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered care approach.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and clinical documentation standards.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
