JOB PURPOSE
:
The SEO Content Specialist will be working heavily within written content in multiple forms, including but not limited to on-site copy, blog copy, call-to-action copy, supporting copy for graphics, and SEO metadata. This position will have the opportunity to use and improve their skills in a fun and fast-paced environment that encourages new ideas and supports professional development. This role will be an integral part towards reaching SEO objectives for Nuvative and its affiliated companies by working directly with the marketing department.

Responsibilities
  • Create copy that is unique, engaging, and tone-appropriate to identified target audience
  • Create website copy that is optimized for appropriate keywords
  • Create website content that is appropriately drafted to support the page’s intent for the user
  • Collaborate with design team to execute new landing pages by creating on-site content
  • Own and draft SEO-optimized website meta data for appropriate keywords
  • Use available tools to complete keyword research, including Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics 4, and more
  • Collaborate with design team to create strong written and visual content
  • Conduct ongoing audits of existing content and implement optimization improvements
  • Track content creation performance: make recommendations and assist in optimizations based on performance
  • Review competitors and emerging trends to refine content strategy and identify new opportunities
  • Produce professional and creative content that requires little to no editing and is completed before or by outlined deadlines
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and regulatory requirements
  • Ask appropriate questions to team and stakeholders for full understanding on project specifications
  • Ensure the content strategy supports and elevates Marketing’s broader initiatives and aligns with organizational goals
  • Stay up to date on current content trends through research and continuing professional development
  • Assist team with a solutions-based mindset and bringing creative ideas to the table
Qualifications
  • Very strong grammar and editing skills with an expansive vocabulary
  • Proven experience creating content for SEO
  • Working understanding of Google E-A-T and Y-M-Y-L SEO strategies
  • Proven experience creating content for business purposes, for a variety of industries
  • Proven experience SEO optimizing website content, including meta data
  • Working understanding of keyword research and use
  • Strong written and verbal communicator
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Organized with the ability to multi-task
  • Working understanding of Microsoft Office suite
  • Outgoing and energetic personality that is willing to think outside the box
  • Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and consistently meet deadlines
  • Customer service skills or background encouraged but not required
  • Working knowledge of basic Adobe Creative Suite applications encouraged but not required
  • Working knowledge of basic Word Press CMS functionality encouraged but not required
Communication Skills
  • Able to communicate via email, phone, and in-person in a professional manner with team members
  • Prompt response and communications during work hours
  • Clearly communicate updates and information to appropriate team members regarding tasks and projects
  • Understand and draft copy that is in the appropriate tone based on the intent of a page and provided service
  • Able to accept and provide constructive feedback and input on created content
