Position Summary... What you'll do...

Responsibilities
  • Assist management with the supervision of associates in assigned area of responsibility by assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, and training associates on processes and procedures.
  • Provide direction and guidance to associates on member service approaches and techniques to ensure member complaints and issues are resolved according to company guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures; support the Open Door Policy; participate in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating associates.
  • Communicate and support membership by providing information on membership types, programs, and benefits to current and prospective members; process memberships, upgrades, and credit accounts; encourage renewals; participate in sales and marketing events.
  • Complete and maintain marketing recaps and other required documentation; strive to meet membership goals and promote the value of Sam's Club products and services.
  • Provide and ensure member service by acknowledging the member and identifying needs; assist with purchasing decisions; locate merchandise; guide members on self-service technology; assist with transactions using registers or self-checkout; ensure club pick-up orders are filled.
  • Oversee assigned area by handling claims and returns; organize merchandise and area layout; identify shrink and damages; maintain availability of carts/flatbeds; assist members with transporting items; maintain parking lot cleanliness in accordance with policy.
  • Complete accounting records, file transactions, and other required documentation by following accounting procedures; provide funds for proper register operation; create and interpret financial analysis reports; assist with investigations; prepare daily deposits and oversee Cash Fund Transfers; investigate overages/shortages; maintain confidentiality and accuracy of financial and personal information.
  • Develop, communicate, and implement processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners; analyze and apply information from multiple sources; monitor progress and results; identify and address improvement opportunities.
  • Demonstrate, promote, and support compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards by explaining and modeling how to apply them in business processes; assist management with correcting ethical and compliance issues.
  • Lead and participate in teams by using and sharing resources, determining customer needs and business priorities, coordinating and executing work assignments, and providing feedback to ensure timelines and quality; model adaptability to change and new challenges.
