This role is at Spirit Aero Systems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units (“Spirit Commercial”). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing’s three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial’s core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminium manufacturing solutions.
PositionResponsibilities
- Prepares or supports preparation of proposals, agreements, and completed cost resource estimates and pricing; assesses or determines profit and earnings objectives; and performs the final pricing review and approval.
- Identifies, assesses, and assists in risk management, and negotiates, commits, executes, and administers contracts or agreements, including communicating and interpreting performance requirements, delivery obligations and schedules, and related terms and conditions in ensuring accurate and complete business transactions.
- Prepares and maintains process documentation, performance measures and metrics, and other customer- or management-required reports.
- Advises management of contractual rights and obligations, and compiles and analyzes proposals, agreements, and contract performance data. Audits vendor compliance to contractual obligations.
- Maintains historical proposal and contract performance information, prepares and maintains applicable policies and procedures, and trains and coaches Contracts personnel.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 5 years administering and amending contracts or related experience
- Minimum of 5 years familiarity with a contract writing system
- Experience negotiating claims, assertions, and contracts
- Ability to build work with cross functional groups and maintain a large internal network while holding relationships at all levels
- Possess strong analytical, writing, and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and Word
- 5 or more years using procurement module of SAP
- 5 or more years supporting a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range - Mid-Level (Level
3): $89,350 - $136,950
