Position Summary
:

The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for supporting procurement and implementing sourcing strategies that drive material availability, quality of product, improved supply chain performance, best overall value, and ensure compliance with company standards. This role works closely with cross‑functional teams to manage sourcing activities for direct and indirect materials, including raw material, supplies, hardware, and chemicals supplies.

Education

Bachelor’s degree required

Certification in CSCP is preferred

Experience
  • 2 to 3 years in aerospace or supply chain management experience.
  • Basic knowledge of shop floor/line flow for product development.
  • Good working knowledge of ERP systems including MPS, MRP planning, scheduling, lead times, capacity and cost analysis.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project.
  • Able to formulate and implement strategies with suppliers that support customer demand and meet company goals with KPI’s.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate suppliers to determine best source selections.
  • Knowledge of ITAR/EAR compliance and export control regulations.
  • Ability to constructively communicate with all levels and types of personnel.
  • Strong Program Management Skills and able to meet deadlines.
Problem Solving/Decision Making

Ability to prioritize multiple projects, assignments and tasks, monitoring use of time and appropriately using equipment, facilitates and materials.

Duties and Tasks
  • Develop & execute sourcing strategies for assigned commodities and services.
  • Analyze purchasing data to identify trends, cost drivers, and opportunities for savings or process improvements.
  • Prepare and negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms that meet company requirements.
  • Collaborate with program management, engineering, finance, quality, and production teams for procurement of prototypes and new product introductions.
  • Maintain compliance with AS9100 standards and company SOPs.
  • Monitor supplier performance and assist in implementing RCCA’s.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards using ERP systems and data visualization tools.
  • Create and implement best practices through written policies and procedures using Lean concepts to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor adherence to and enforce all policies and procedures to maintain safety, quality, productivity, inventory accuracy, morale and customer service.
