The Part‑Time Office Administrative Aide serves as the welcoming hub of City Arts, providing essential front‑desk and administrative support that keeps daily operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patrons and visitors, answering incoming calls and emails; serve as a reliable point of contact for students, instructors, and visitors.
  • Manage inquiries and coordinate class‑related communication with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Support City Arts programming by maintaining clear communication between staff and the public.
  • Assist with the City Arts Art Shoppe by supporting retail transactions and inventory activities.
  • Open and distribute mail; keep records related to money received and disbursed; issue change and receipts.
  • Stock merchandise and supplies, set up and take down building furnishings and arrangements, maintain work area in an attractive manner.
  • May assist in training and supervising other seasonal/temporary employees; may need to operate a vehicle.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of basic record‑keeping knowledge and ability to use the four functions of mathematics.
  • Ability to count money and make change, use a calculator with speed and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in computer use: accessing, interpreting, and recording information; accessing records in file cabinets and microfilm.
  • Ability to receive and respond to a steady volume of requests for information and/or service, both in person and over the telephone.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to cross communication barriers.
  • Physical ability to move, stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop or squat as needed; lift and carry loads up to 40 pounds.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with associates and the public.
  • Valid Kansas Driver’s License may be required.
  • Pre‑employment physical, drug screening, and satisfactory criminal record check required.
