Counseling Secretary – Position Description

Under the direct supervision of the School Counselor Director, Principal or other administrators to provide clerical, secretarial and administrative assistance to them in the Counseling Office.

• Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Responsibilities include answering phones, scheduling college/recruiter visits and student counseling appointments, xeroxing materials and helping with organization of counseling events.
• Time management, multitasking and organizational skills are necessary.
• Previous Power School experience considered beneficial.

Uses standard office equipment such as personal computer, copy machine, fax machine, telephone.

Works in standard office and school building environments.

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying.

• Graduation from high school.
• Successful experience with office management preferred.
