Job StoryAs a Student Assistant in the ITS Assets Department, you will play a key role in supporting the ITS Assets Manager with day-to-day operations. This position offers hands‑on experience in IT asset management and an opportunity to develop professional skills in a dynamic environment.
Job SummaryA student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.
Job Duties- Inventorying new assets
- Updating existing departmental asset lists
- Asset pickup for disposal
- Preparing retired assets for warehouse
- Loaner laptop rentals
- Other clerical duties as assigned.
High School diploma or equivalent. Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours at Wichita State University.
Required ExperienceThis is specific to each position and department. See additional requirements and preferences.
Preferred Qualifications- Working knowledge of Windows Operating System, Mac OS, Microsoft Word.

Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
