Overview
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Staff Accountant for a temp-to-hire opportunity supporting day‑to‑day accounting operations and financial reporting. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their accounting career and transition into a long‑term position based on performance and business needs.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Perform account reconciliations and research discrepancies
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed
Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation
Ensure compliance with company policies
, accounting procedures, and internal controlsAssist with financial reporting
, audits, and requests for supporting documentationMaintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling sensitive financial information
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
1–3 years of accounting experience (internships or contract experience considered)
Working knowledge of general ledger accounting principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
Effective communication skills and ability to work independently or collaboratively
