Job Information

Location: PO Box 1616, 6200 Central Frwy, Wichita Falls, TX, , US (On-site)

Job Schedule: Full time

Position Type: WAX NDI Operator

Shift: 12 hour rotating night shifts (7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m., 2 on 2 off, 3 on 2 off, 2 on 3 off)

Payment: $21.27 per hour (plus $1.00 shift differential). At 9 months: $26.40 per hour

Export-controlled data: Employment offers contingent on ability to lawfully obtain access.

Job Summary

NDI operators are responsible for inspection, engraving, wall gauge, and X‑ray (GE/DR).

Essential Functions
  • Basic computer applications
  • Read and interpret Product Criteria (PC) and Activity Instructions (AI)
  • Team member working under general supervision
  • Maintain expected quality levels
  • Comply with all site required policies and procedures including EHS, Quality, Code of Conduct, and the Wichita Falls Employee Handbook
Job Responsibilities
  • X‑ray – Inspect patterns for core breaks
  • Log pieces into X‑ray Log Book
  • Care and maintenance for X‑ray badge
  • Wall gauge
  • Train to use Golden Spike and V374 Transducer
  • Sign out transducer in Log Book
  • Perform audits; fill out Audit Log Sheet
  • Inspect and log Wall gauge and X‑ray data into IPC
  • Communicate scrap issues with Die Tech, Team Leader, and Supervisor
  • Set engraver depth
  • Engrave T.I.D.
  • Log issues in engraver book
  • Flex from X‑ray to wall gauge or engraving as needed
  • Meet workflow and efficiency expectations
  • Distribute patterns to cell when time permits
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Comply with all EHS rules related to the work environment
  • Work overtime as required
  • Follow 5S rules and procedures
  • Utilize help chain when needed (Human Performance, BOLO)
  • Physical Demands & Equipment Used

    Physical Demands: Stair climbing, reaching near/far/overhead, pushing, pulling, twisting and handling, lifting from floor–waist, waist–chest, chest–overhead, finger pressing, use of keyboard/mouse with hand/arm vibration tolerance, gripping, pinching, carrying items with two or one hands, moderate effort with prolonged standing, squatting/crouching/bending, lifting >5 lbs, pass Jaeger I eye exam.

    Training: Minimum 90 days per level, pass written and proficiency test for each skill set, completed training folder.

    Equipment Used: Hot plates, hand tools, engraving machine, X‑ray unit, gauging fixtures.

    Work Environment: Air‑conditioned area with slight exposure to chemicals, fumes, oil, dust, noise, heat or cold.

    Medical Surveillance Requirements: Vision.

    Qualifications Basic Qualifications
    • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
    • Legally authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility verification at hire; no visa sponsorship available.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience in manufacturing environment.
    • Basic computer skills.
    • Knowledge of Wax operations.
