HSCS is comprised of nine psychiatric hospitals, one youth residential treatment facility, and thirteen state supported living centers. The psychiatric hospitals are a hub of excellence for forensic mental health and complex psychiatric care, with all facilities accredited by The Joint Commission. • Attends work on a regular basis and may be required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.
• Performs custodial functions timely and with high quality including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and cleaning windows and light fixtures. Ensures proper sanitization and disinfection in accordance with training received.
• Cleans and maintains floors, restrooms, nurses' station, and other areas in accordance with established procedures and safety measures.
• Maintains and cleans the interior and exterior of assigned buildings, empties trash, reports needed repairs, and replenishes supplies as needed.
• Coaches other custodians as needed.
• Inspects assigned buildings and areas for cleanliness, completed work, and needed minor repairs, and performs minor maintenance.
• Completes documentation in an accurate and timely manner, protects confidential information, and maintains inventory and equipment records.
• Helps patients maintain optimal health and provides a safe environment for self, persons served, and others.
• Other duties as assigned, including participating in disaster response, recovery, or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation, which may require an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location.
