Job Functions (EJFs)
  • Attends work on a regular basis and may be scheduled for specific, rotating, or extended shifts in accordance with agency policy.
  • Oversees and ensures programming is evidenced-based, recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and relevant to preparing patients for healthy living in the least restrictive environment; observes and evaluates therapeutic staff. Conducts quarterly Quality Assurance assessments on unlicensed Rehab Therapy technicians under supervision.
  • Assures that patients’ cultural and other special needs are addressed in Central Rehabilitation classes and activities, using instruction and printed competency information; one-on-one sessions may be used as needed.
  • Reviews the policy and procedure manual and patient information (handouts, educational material, electronic media) for currency, recovery orientation, individualization, and compliance with applicable codes and hospital policies.
  • Collaborates as a member of councils, teams, forums, and committees; chairs Wellness Committee and Central Rehabilitation Services Quality Improvement team, where applicable.
  • Maintains and supervises a program workforce competent in high-quality, recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, patient-centered care. Leads regular meetings, in-service trainings, and oversees Quality Improvement Team activities.
  • Oversees development, implementation, and management of all rehabilitation services (including Adult Education, Client Worker Program, Psychosocial Education, and Therapeutic Rehabilitation) within Central Rehabilitation Programs; provides consultation to establish active rehabilitation goals based on recovery needs.
  • Uses patient input to improve services through Quarterly Patient Satisfactory Surveys; analyzes attendance and classroom observations to evaluate progress and update instruction accordingly.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, including disaster response and Continuity of Operations (COOP) participation, which may require alternate shift patterns or locations.
