As patient volumes continue to grow in our OB/GYN department, PIH Health Women’s Center is seeking Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) to join our inpatient Labor & Delivery team. CNMs collaborate closely with physicians and the multidisciplinary care team to provide safe, high-quality, patient-centered care for women throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.

The CNM ensures efficient workflow in Labor & Delivery while providing compassionate, evidence-based care that promotes positive outcomes for patients and families. CNMs also support triage of OB patients in the Emergency Department, with cross-coverage from midwives as needed.
Required Skills And Experience- Triage term patients to determine appropriate care needs
Triage and co-manage preterm and high-risk patients alongside physicians - Assist with admissions and initial patient assessments
- Support labor management for low-risk patients
- Co-manage appropriate high-risk patients with physicians during labor
- Assist with uncomplicated vaginal deliveries and perform repairs as needed
- Participate in postpartum rounding and patient follow-up
- Assist with uncomplicated Cesarean sections
- CLicensed Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) credentialed by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB)
- 3-5 years experience
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Up-to-date immunizations and tuberculosis screening in accordance with hospital guidelines
