The Director of Enterprise Supply Chain Operations will oversee and manage all aspects of supply chain operations within the hospital setting, ensuring the efficient receiving, management, and distribution of medical supplies, equipment, and services. This role is critical in supporting the hospital’s operational effectiveness, cost control, and patient care quality.

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with the health system’s overall goals and objectives.
• Review market analysis to identify trends and potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Oversee the procurement process for medical supplies and equipment, ensuring competitive pricing and quality.
• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and negotiate contracts.
• Implement effective inventory management practices to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
• Monitor and analyze inventory performance, making recommendations for improvement.
• Coordinate the logistics of supply delivery to ensure timely access to necessary supplies for all departments.
• Streamline distribution processes to enhance efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies in supply chain operations.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with supply chain operations.
• Work closely with clinical staff and department heads to understand supply needs and preferences.
• Collaborate with finance to develop budgets and track supply chain expenses.
• Lead and mentor supply chain staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Set performance metrics for the supply chain team and monitor progress.
• Oversee the implementation of supply chain management software and other technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
• Utilize data analytics to inform decision-making and optimize supply chain processes.

Required:

• High School Degree
• Minimum fifteen (15) years of progressive team management experience
• Minimum ten (10) years acute hospital background
• Strong operation and cost accounting background
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal communication skills
• Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements related to supply chain operations
• Proficiency in supply chain management software and data analysis tools
• Thorough knowledge of large-scale integrated client server/ERP/budgeting and planning systems
