Essential Duties

Under the direction of Pharmacy Manager and/or pharmacist, the pharmacy technician performs pharmacy-related functions, in compliance with department policies and procedures that provide optimal pharmaceutical care.

Responsibilities
  • Call, Schedule and Fill all Respiratory Medicine Patients
  • Notate patient accounts if and when required
  • Print and or pull ticket/labels for HDMS and PDX orders
  • Understand how to calculate appropriate amounts to provide to patients, along with DME assigned to order
  • Prepare all the pertinent paperwork in order for the pharmacist to review and check for correctness.
  • Package all of the verified medications appropriately including those which need ice packs for delivery.
  • Transport already checked medications to warehouse/dispatch for shipping or vehicle delivery.
  • Communicate with CCS in regards to saline orders.
  • Perform credit returns when medications are sent back to Pharmacy
  • Prioritize delivery schedule with drivers for punctual drop offs.
  • Package medication and or DME orders with Super Care handouts/CBA Documents
  • Put away inventory orders received by manufacturers for DME or Amerisource Bergen
  • Must be able to lift and carry equipment and miscellaneous items up to 75 lbs. on a daily basis.
  • Adhere and abide to Super Care Health’s HIPPA policy.
  • Performs any other duties that may be requested by supervisor or management
  • Understand and adheres to all of Super Care Health company policies
  • To remain knowledgeable to date on all products, guidelines and insurance coverage trends
  • Maintain a professional safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Must meet minimum of monthly goals
Work Experience Requirements
  • Experience with Medical Supply Company
  • Knowledge of diagnosis and Medical terminology
  • Excellent Customer Service skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excell, Outlook, and Power Point
  • Experience in healthcare, medical and/or HME industry (preferred)
  • Be able to work on multiple tasks. Plan and prioritize actives to achieve results and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
