UM Customer Support Representative

The UM Customer Support Representative works in a high-performance, customer-focused team environment. He/she is responsible for providing support to the Utilization Management department by providing customer service to its medical group members and providers via telephone and/or emails.

• Excellent phone etiquette.
• Able to prioritize and delegate effectively.
• High attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
• Develops and maintains effective working relationships with all levels of management, staff, providers, and members.
• Maintains an understanding of current CPT/HCPCS and ICD-10 codes.

Required:

• High School Graduate or equivalent certification.
• Proficient in Windows, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a managed care, IPA, or health plan environment.
