Overview

Provides direct nursing care including assessments, care plan, education, and evaluation for assigned patients. Performs patient duties necessary to maintain the flow of patient care as well as coordinates the delivery of care provided by other care team members and disciplines.

• Perform patient duties necessary to maintain the flow of patient care and coordinate the delivery of care by other care team members and disciplines.

• Strong verbal, written and computer skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, infection control and safety.
• Adaptability.
• Principles of patient/family teaching.
• Knowledge and experience with administering IV and PO drugs and their possible adverse reactions.
• Knowledge of diagnostic tests and their preparations.
• Knowledge in the legal aspects of nursing.
• Knowledge and demonstrated skill using special equipment such as monitors, oxygen equipment, SPO2 monitors, EKG machines, defibrillators, etc.
• Honest, dependable, conscientious.
• Excellent communication skills.

• Current California RN license
• Two years Cath Lab nursing experience
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS Certification
• 12 Lead electrocardiogram and arrhythmia detection knowledge

• BSN/MSN
• Cardiology Experience
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills
