Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
- Ensure timely and accurate reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts.
- Work closely with accounting & FP&A teams and streamline closing procedures and strive for continuous improvements.
- Assist with budgets and forecasts.
- Research variances between actual and budgeted performance, analyze expense trends, and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
- Provide regular updates on cash flow through weekly cash flow forecasts
- Oversee cost accounting, ensuring accurate allocation of manufacturing costs and inventory management.
- Work with the company’s external accountants to ensure the annual audit and corporate tax returns, including quarterly estimates, are completed accurately and timely.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including tax filings, financial reporting, and audits.
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures to safeguard company assets.
- Oversee and ensure the accuracy and timely preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
- Supervise, cross train, provide guidance and train the accounting team.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, accountability and high performance.
- Ensure the implementation of Net Suite (June 2025) is completed and update and revise various accounting policies and payment processes to support Net Suite’s enhanced capabilities. Lead the effort with Net Suite post go-live enhancements.
- Undertake special projects and ad-hoc analyses as needed to support the CFO and other senior leadership.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to management to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
- Support process improvements, automation, and ERP system enhancements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of month-end closing procedures, cost accounting, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Net Suite), Power BI and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
