The Difference You MakeAs a Senior Relationship Banker, you will manage and enhance client relationships, attracting and retaining new clients while strengthening existing ones. You’ll directly manage a client portfolio of high‑value consumer and small business clients, maximize cross‑sell opportunities, and deliver an exceptional customer experience through branch visits, phone, and digital collaboration with business partners.
Responsibilities- Independently manage a portfolio of high‑value consumer clients and small business customers.
- Proactively deepen relationships with new and existing customers through early engagement calls and regular outreach.
- Be the expert on Santander products and services, articulating benefits tailored to customer needs.
- Assess customer needs by asking questions and identifying opportunities to help achieve their financial goals.
- Recommend and deliver needs‑based solutions and introduce key partners as appropriate.
- Collaborate with team members and partners to achieve branch goals and drive overall performance.
- Participate in joint calling with product partners to generate and deepen relationships with business customers.
- Deliver an elevated customer experience, providing personalized, seamless, and attentive service.
- Engage customers through digital platforms and educate them on self‑service options.
- Use critical thinking and problem‑resolution skills to address client inquiries and challenges.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with customers in person, over the phone, or through digital channels.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies related to risk and fraud defense.
- Support nearby branch locations as needed based on business necessity.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education (Required).
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience (Preferred).
- 5+ years selling products/services in an incentive‑based environment (Required) OR
2+ years in financial services with direct experience acquiring new client relationships and developing existing ones (Required). - 12+ months of demonstrated Santander experience related to the essential functions of the Relationship Banker role (Required).
- 12+ months of customer service experience in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment (Required).
- Motivated to help people achieve financial goals.
- Strong financial acumen with general knowledge of consumer and small business products and lending.
- Proven sales and cross‑selling track record.
- Proven ability to manage a portfolio of clients effectively.
- Strong relationship‑building skills and a customer‑centric approach.
- Effective teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Critical thinking to solve problems and provide solutions.
- Excellent communication, consultative, and influence skills (verbal and written).
- Proficient phone engagement skills.
- Credible, trustworthy, and professional image.
- Digital tool proficiency to enhance customer engagement.

- Risk awareness and ability to escalate concerns.
- Capacity to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Computer proficiency and basic math skills.
- Availability for branch hours, which may include weekends and evenings.
- Established work history or equivalent experience (Preferred).
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (Preferred).
Base Pay Range: $54,375 – $90,000 USD (annualized). Compensation may vary based on skills, experience, location, and certifications.
