Position: Carpenter Apprentice - 1st Year (NOC 72310)

We are currently recruiting for a st year Carpenter Apprentice local to the Whitehorse area, regular hours per week (OT may be required). Reporting to Site Superintendent, the successful candidate will be a team player, exemplify our Core Values, and have a strong commitment to site safety.
NOTE:
This position is available to applicants legally entitled to work in Canada. Applicants not authorized to work in Canada will not be considered for the position.

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or higherRegistered ApprenticeResponsibilities include the following tasks:
Load/unload construction materials and move materials to specific work areasErect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades required at a construction siteMix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and groutSpotter duties - signal equipment operators and guide them in moving equipment on siteMaintain a clean work siteOther carpentry tasks as supervised by a Journeyperson CarpenterComply with all safety policies and proceduresAdhere to site housekeeping practicesMay perform other duties as assignedRequirements:
months to year experience on a construction site in a similar roleExperience in carpentryFamiliarity with hand toolsAbility to work well in a teamCommercial experience an assetOn-the-job training and mentorship providedValid certifications or willingness to obtain certifications in WHMIS , Electrical Safety and Level First AidAdditional Information:
