Summary

Northern Vision Development (NVD), the largest hospitality company in the Yukon, is hiring a Sales & Catering Manager to grow our events, meeting, and catering business across our hospitality portfolio. This is a new role for NVD and a key addition to how we sell and deliver group experiences—from corporate meetings and conferences to weddings, community events, government functions, and social gatherings.

Does Your Success Look Like?
  • You consistently turn inquiries into confirmed bookings - growing events and catering revenue through new accounts and repeat clients across key segments.
  • You keep a healthy, visible pipeline - so there’s always a clear view of what’s coming next across Whitehorse and our Yukon communities.
  • Your proposals and contracts are clean, accurate, and profitable - scope, pricing, and terms are clear, and operations are set up to deliver without rework.
  • Clients feel taken care of and confident - everyone understands the plan, the costs, and the next steps, with no surprises.
  • Food & Beverage feels supported, not squeezed - menus and packages stay current, executable, and aligned to capacity, with an annual refresh that makes selling easier.
  • Handovers are smooth and complete - events transition to execution with full details and timelines, reducing last-minute changes and delivering consistent experiences.
What You Bring to

The Role
  • Considerable sales experience in hospitality, events or catering (hotel/group sales experience is an asset).
  • Strong prospecting and relationship-building skills to create new connections, earn trust quickly, and convert opportunities into confirmed business.
  • Contracting and administrative strength to produce accurate quotes, contracts, and invoices with clear terms and clean documentation.
  • High attention to detail and follow-through that ensures your organized, your commitments are met, and handovers are complete.
  • Strong collaboration with Food & Beverage operations to balance client needs with what can be delivered on the ground.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills that ensure clarity, respect, and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Client-centric focus to consistently represent NVD’s warmth, professionalism, and values of drive, rigour, and kindness in every engagement.
