Fountain Tire Whitehorse is looking for a skilled and Licensed Automotive Service Technician to join our team!

- Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction on a customer’s vehicle
- Performing appropriate repairs with accuracy and efficiency
- Completing approved service on customer vehicles
- Testing and adjusting vehicle systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications
- Performing scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups
- Advising customers and associates on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements
- Maintaining mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
- Operating company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner
- Supporting customer relationships by responding to customer inquiries

Job Requirements- Minimum 5 years experience and trade certificate is required
- Licensed/Red Seal status in the Automotive Service Technician trade is/will be required
- Strong knowledge of automotive industry and skills required to provide mechanical service to our customers
- A diagnostic specialist that enjoys keeping up with modern technology
- The successful applicant will have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to providing a superior customer experience
- Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract from province of residence on an annual basis
- Punctual
- Able to work independent and part of a team
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Willing to live in a northern community
- Computer literate
- A working knowledge of passenger and light truck tires, specialty tire services and wheels is an asset
- A customer-service focus with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members and customers
- A keen attention to detail
