Are you a Temporary Works Engineer looking for work on a critical nuclear infrastructure project?
An opportunity is available for a Temporary Works Engineer to support a major nuclear infrastructure project in Whitehaven. The role focuses on managing temporary works procedures, delivering and checking designs, and coordinating with project teams to ensure works are carried out safely and in line with regulatory and project requirements.
This position would suit a civil or structural engineer with experience in temporary works design or coordination within construction or infrastructure projects. It is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge who enjoys solving engineering challenges, managing design processes and ensuring safety in design within complex and regulated project environments. Security Clearance is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and review detailed designs for temporary works and simple permanent works.
- Manage temporary works procedures in line with project and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate internal and external designers and undertake independent technical reviews.
- Conduct hazard identification and risk reviews to ensure safety in design.
- Provide progress reporting and support change control processes across the project.
The roles come with a rewarding package. The salary on offer for the role is 53,000- 62,000, with a car allowance of 5,750, 8% pension contributions, private medical insurance and 25 days annual leave + bank holidays.
