Assistant Cost Engineer

Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for an Assistant Cost Engineer to be engaged on a permanent basis to be based in Whitehaven, Cumbria.

My client is a leading engineering design company with offices based in West Cumbria or Manchester, renowned for delivering innovative, high-quality services in the Decommissioning and Nuclear sector. With an expanding portfolio of frameworks and major projects, they are now seeking experienced and driven professionals to join their growing teams.

You will have:

Proven experience in cost engineering (ideally within the nuclear, infrastructure or decommissioning sectors)
Strong understanding of project controls, budgeting, and forecasting
Proficiency with cost tools such as Primavera, CostX, or equivalent
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
Degree or equivalent in engineering, construction, quantity surveying or a related field
Active SC or be eligible for SCWhat they can offer:
