Senior Quantity Surveyor
I am working in partnership with a Tier One infrastructure contractor delivering a long term, complex and highly regulated major infrastructure programme in Cumbria. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a multidisciplinary project with significant longevity, progression prospects and commercial visibility.

This role sits at the centre of commercial delivery, providing cost management, contract administration and commercial assurance across multiple engineering and construction work packages. Candidates with existing SC clearance are preferred, although those eligible and willing to obtain SC clearance will also be considered.

The Role

* Lead commercial and contractual responsibilities across designated work packages

* Manage forecasting, cost reporting, change control and financial governance

* Prepare and review subcontract packages, procurement schedules and tender documentation

* Administer NEC contracts, compensation events and early warnings

* Support project managers, engineering leads and delivery teams with commercial advice

* Manage valuations, variations, final accounts and subcontractor payments

* Identify, manage and report commercial risks

* Maintain strong client, consultant and supply chain relationships

* Contribute to bid support and pre construction commercial planning

What They Are Looking For

* Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or major infrastructure

* Strong understanding of NEC contracts

* Proven commercial experience including forecasting, change control and financial reporting

* Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management

* SC clearance held or eligible to obtain - essential.
