• Hours of work: 37 hours per week
• Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm
• Term weeks: 38 + 2 weeks school closure, minimum paid week 45.797

The Whitehaven Academy is part of Cumbria Education Trust. This is an excellent opportunity to join The Whitehaven Academy at a pivotal time for its future. There has been significant financial investment to redevelop the school which moved into its state-of-the-art new building in 2022 and new sports facilities added in 2023. The school continues to expand, and we were again oversubscribed for Year 7 admissions in September 2024.

• Hold HLTA accredited status, QTS or willingness to work towards this.
• Have a good understanding of child development and learning processes.
• Have experience of working with small groups of students to support their learning
• Have experience of working alongside staff to plan, resource and deliver high-quality intervention sessions.
• Have the drive, initiative and ability to respond quickly to further developments in the provision of learning support in schools.
• Have excellent inter-personal skills and be able to communicate effectively with young people and educational professionals.
