We are looking for a friendly, organised and professional Front of House Reception/Administrator to join our busy estate agency team. This is a key role and often the first point of contact for our clients, so a positive attitude and excellent communication skills are essential.

About the Role

You will provide a welcoming front-of-house service while supporting the wider office with day-to-day administrative tasks. This role is based in our Whitehaven office and involves working in a busy environment, juggling calls, visitors, and administrative duties

Hours
  • Part-time or full-time hours considered
  • Role will include weekday office hours
  • Applicants must be able to reliably commute to our Whitehaven office

Competitive salary, dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities
  • Greeting clients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Answering and directing incoming calls and emails
  • Booking and managing property viewings and appointments
  • Maintaining accurate records on the agency system
  • Preparing property details, letters, and basic documentation
  • Supporting negotiators and managers with general administrative duties
  • Keeping the reception and front office area tidy and presentable
Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing reception or office administration role is desirable; estate agency experience is also desirable but not essential
  • Confident communicator with a professional telephone manner
  • Well organised with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable using IT systems including email, Microsoft Word, and databases
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to agreed working hours
  • Comfortable working in a busy office
  • Smart, professional appearance suitable for welcoming clients
