COMPENSATION
  • $118,000 to $135,000 Base Salary, negotiable based on experience

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The new cardiology nurse practitioner or physician assistant will work in a collaborative environment with an integrated care team. The role is based in an outpatient clinic currently staffed with 6 cardiologists and 3 cardiology nurse practitioners / physician assistants.

Providers are supported by highly-trained clinical assistants and on-site management in comfortable, modern settings. This includes scribes and staff to perform administrative tasks, ensuring providers are able to focus solely on patient care.

Duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide general outpatient cardiology services
  • Review patient histories
  • Perform physical examinations
  • Consult with patients and physicians to determine courses of treatment
  • Provide treatments and care plans
  • Communicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure delivery of quality care

Providers see a variable (but always manageable) number of patients per day, based upon needs and types of appointments scheduled.

The office boasts a robust list of treatments and services, ensuring they’re able to effectively treat all cardiology conditions.

The office uses the Athena Health EHR.

REQUIREMENTS
  • New York NP or PA license
  • DEA
  • 1+ year advanced practice cardiology experience preferred
  • New grads with RN or other cardiology experience may be considered
