Summary

The Associate Manager plays a critical role in ensuring exceptional service to donors. The role is highly self‑motivated, leads by example, and embodies the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Essential Job Functions (Responsibilities)
  • Train, coach, and mentor new and existing team members on company policies and procedures.
  • Engage directly with 20–30 sites on a regular basis, overseeing operations and ensuring quality.
  • Perform people‑management duties for an Area Manager, including hiring, coaching, counseling, firing, time‑tracking, and performance reviews.
  • Support recruitment: review applications, conduct interviews, select talent, and complete onboarding activities.
  • Manage supplies, assets, and maintenance requests at each site; communicate pickup schedules.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to donors and drivers, handling donations, unloading, and representing the Green Drop brand.
  • Maintain a safe environment: follow safety standards, clean spills, and report hazards.
  • Use tablet/iPad to record donor information; organize donations in the stock room; submit supply needs to the Area Manager.
  • Travel regularly between sites; sometimes travel to adjacent territories or across the U.S. by air.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.

Minimum Required Education, Training, and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory customer‑service role leading 10 or more team members.

  • Bending and crouching: 60% of time.
  • Repetitive hand use: 70% of time.

Travel
  • Regular travel between 20–30 sites within geographic territory; occasional travel to neighboring territories.
  • Car travel within territory continuously.
