Job DetailsWe are seeking an experienced Attorney to support our New York default and creditors’ rights practice, handling default‑related matters in a fast‑paced, compliance‑driven environment.
Responsibilities- Handle New York default matters from initiation through resolution, including litigation strategy and case progression
- Review, draft, and file pleadings, motions, affidavits, and settlement documents
- Ensure compliance with New York procedural rules, court requirements, and client and investor guidelines
- Manage litigation milestones, default judgment processes, and related deadlines
- Communicate with clients regarding case status, strategy, and risk considerations
- Appear in court as needed for hearings and proceedings
- Collaborate with internal attorneys and support staff to ensure accurate and timely case handling
- Active New York law license in good standing
- Prior experience in default practice, creditors’ rights, foreclosure, collections litigation, or a related field
- Strong understanding of New York civil procedure and default judgment rules
- Ability to manage a caseload in a deadline‑driven environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and professionalism
