ASAP is hiring on behalf of our client for a Compensation Specialist to support an HR organization undergoing a major HR transformation initiative. This is a great opportunity for an experienced compensation professional to contribute to core compensation programs while gaining exposure to enterprise-level HR operations.
Role OverviewThe Compensation Specialist will support the design, administration, and execution of compensation programs and processes. This role works closely with HR Business Partners, HRIS teams, and leadership to ensure compensation programs are competitive, compliant, and aligned with organizational strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Support the implementation of compensation philosophy, strategy, policies, and programs.
- Assist with annual compensation review processes, including market pricing and job title/description reviews.
- Administer the annual merit increase program, coordinating data with HRIS and HR Business Partners.
- Review wage and salary changes for compliance with internal policies.
- Evaluate positions and apply existing job classifications appropriately.
- Administer additional compensation programs (stipends, lump sums, etc.).
- Conduct job evaluations for hourly, salaried, middle, and senior management roles.
- Prepare reports and summaries for senior leadership.
- Strong knowledge of compensation, rewards, and performance programs.
- Experience completing and analyzing compensation salary surveys.
- Proficiency with compensation survey tools (e.g.,
Comp Analyst – required
). - Strong analytical, quantitative, and research skills.
- Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws (FLSA, ADA, EEO, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Experience with SAP Personnel Administration and Success Factors Compensation module
. - Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or similar certification.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 4 years of HR experience
, with a focus in compensation or as an HR Generalist.
