Overview

Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS), a nonprofit founded in 1943, has grown to be the largest provider of licensed outpatient community mental health services and one of the largest human service agencies in Westchester County. We provide state‑of‑the‑art programs and services and compassionate care to more than 20,000 people of all ages and backgrounds each year.

We are seeking a Bilingual Clinical Social Worker to join our Futures Without Violence program. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive mental health services to individuals referred through DSS Futures Without Violence. Responsibilities include meeting with clients weekly to facilitate healing and recovery from trauma, documenting clinical progress in accordance with agency standards, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring culturally competent and trauma‑informed care.

This is a full‑time position with a salary of $75,000 and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and collaboratively develop individualized, evidence‑based treatment plans based on each client’s needs.
  • Regularly monitor and evaluate client progress, updating treatment plans to reflect evolving goals, challenges, and achievements, and actively engage clients in goal‑setting and treatment adjustments.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in and consistently apply a wide range of evidence‑based trauma‑informed practices and therapeutic modalities to ensure effective and culturally sensitive care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment updates, court reports, and monthly PMI reports, ensuring compliance with agency, legal, and funding requirements.
  • Provide trauma‑informed treatment across multiple modalities, including individual therapy, family therapy, and group sessions, utilizing appropriate interventions based on client presentation and treatment goals.
  • Deliver crisis intervention services with skill, sensitivity, and professionalism, ensuring client safety and stabilization during acute episodes.
  • Maintain ongoing, collaborative communication with the FWV team and other relevant stakeholders to coordinate care, share critical information, and support integrated treatment efforts.
  • Professionally represent the agency at conferences, community meetings, and interagency collaborations, advocating for trauma‑informed practices and fostering positive relationships.
  • Participate actively in agency in‑service training, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices and regulatory updates.
  • Receive regular clinical supervision and peer consultation to ensure adherence to ethical standards, enhance clinical skills, and promote professional growth.
  • Participate in ongoing training and supervision to maintain best practices and enhance service delivery.
Requirements
  • Valid NYS license as an LMSW or LCSW; LMHCs are also encouraged to apply.
  • Thorough knowledge of clinical practices and therapeutic approaches for individuals and families affected by trauma and crime.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • Strong clinical, assessment, and diagnostic skills.
