My client, a fast-growing CPA firm based in Wite Plaines are seeking to hire a Tax Director to Manage a Complex Client List and be part of a huge growth phase the firm is going through.

Responsibilities

• Lead the tax department, providing strategic direction and guidance to a team of tax professionals.

• Manage a portfolio of high-profile clients, offering expert advice on complex tax matters and ensuring client satisfaction.

• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize clients' financial positions while adhering to tax laws and regulations.

• Conduct research on tax laws, stay updated on changes, and provide guidance to the team and clients.

• Collaborate with other departments to offer comprehensive client solutions and cross-functional expertise.

• Mentor and coach team members, conducting performance reviews, and fostering professional development.

• Continuously improve tax processes, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

• CPA License is mandatory.

• Must currently be working in a CPA firm

• Extensive experience in tax planning, compliance, and consulting within a professional services environment.

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team effectively.

• In-depth knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to adapt to changing tax laws and regulations and provide innovative tax solutions.
