Atlantic Group is hiring an Accounting Manager (Corporate & Financial Reporting) in White Plains, NY for our client. This on-site role manages month-end close, financial reporting, and cash management while ensuring GAAP compliance. You’ll oversee AP/AR, variance analysis, and process improvements, partnering with leadership to deliver financial insights. Ideal for professionals with strong reporting skills and experience in real estate or asset management.
Responsibilitiesas the Accounting Manager
- Financial Reporting:
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, preparing and reviewing financial statements and cash flow analyses. - General Accounting:
Oversee daily accounting operations, including AP/AR, cash management, and acquisition accounting activities. - Variance Analysis:
Conduct detailed variance and trend analysis, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership. - Internal Controls:
Maintain GAAP compliance and ensure process accuracy, supporting audits through proper documentation. - Team Leadership:
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering efficiency, accuracy, and professional growth.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required (MBA preferred). - Experience:
6-12 years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in management, with a preferred background in real estate or infrastructure. - Technical
Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with required experience in Microsoft Access and ERP or accounting systems. - Industry Knowledge:
Strong understanding of GAAP, corporate consolidations, revenue recognition, and financial statement preparation. - Skills & Attributes:
Analytical, detail-oriented leader with strong organizational and communication skills, adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
