OverviewAs an Estimator, Foundations, your key responsibilities will be to evaluate bid specifications and drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, solicit material and subcontractor quotes, and ensure that everything required to successfully bid and win the project is accomplished. You will work with Project Management teams to follow up on bids and budgets to close the business. It is essential to be forward thinking, performance driven and quality focused.
Abilities to work independently and produce highly accurate work in a timely manner are critical for success.
- Evaluate bid specifications and drawings
- Attend pre-bid meetings
- Solicit material and subcontractor quotes
- Ensure all requirements to successfully bid and win the project are completed
- Collaborate with Project Management teams to follow up on bids and budgets
- Work independently to produce accurate work in a timely manner
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, or equivalent degree from a 4-year college or university
- 3+ years of related heavy civil construction estimating experience, or equivalent combination
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of estimating and scheduling software (HCSS, B2W)
- Must possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles used and have an acceptable driving record
- Position requires around 25% travel for jobsite visits, pre-bid meetings, and pre-construction meetings

Actual pay will be adjusted based on the individual’s skills, experiences, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
