# Junior Accountant#### Overview

AMS Renewable Energy is a fast-growing solar and storage EPC delivering commercial and utility-scale renewable energy projects across the United States. We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to support tax compliance, regulatory reporting, and core accounting functions for a multi-state, project-driven organization.

This role is critical to ensuring accurate tax filings, regulatory compliance, and clean integration between accounting systems and external advisors. Payroll processing is handled separately; this position is focused on tax, compliance, and accounting operations.####

Key Responsibilities ###### Tax Compliance & Reporting
* Manage federal, state, and local tax compliance, including income, sales/use, property, and other applicable business taxes
* Coordinate preparation, review, and filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns
* Ensure compliance with multi-state tax regulations, registrations, and jurisdictional requirements
* Support year-end reporting, including coordination with external tax advisors
* Monitor regulatory and tax law changes and implement updates as needed
* Support internal and external audits related to tax and compliance matters###### Accounting & Close Support
* Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
* Reconcile tax-related accounts and liabilities to the general ledger
* Support month-end and year-end close processes
* Assist with financial reporting and schedules for finance leadership
* Maintain accurate documentation to support audits and compliance###### Systems & Process Support
* Maintain and support accounting workflows within Sage and Net Suite
* Assist with system integrations and data accuracy between accounting platforms
* Identify opportunities to improve accounting and compliance processes as the company scales####

Required Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
* Minimum of 3 years of accounting and tax compliance experience in a multi-state environment
* Hands-on experience with Sage and Net Suite (required)
* Strong knowledge of U.S. tax regulations and compliance requirements
* Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools
* High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
* Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
* Must be able to work in-office in White Plains, NY####

Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in construction, EPC, renewable energy, or project-based organizations
* Familiarity with sales/use tax, property tax, and multi-entity structures
* Experience working with external auditors and tax advisors

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year Benefits:
