Compensation: $85-100k + performance based bonus

Overview:
CFS is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing construction company in White Plains. This role will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting leadership with actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee general ledger accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice review, processing, and vendor management.
• Prepare and review financial statements, job cost reports, and variance analyses to monitor project profitability.
• Handle bank reconciliations, expense reporting, and maintain compliance with GAAP standards.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities and assist with year-end audits.
• Collaborate with project managers to track job costing, analyze cost variances, and ensure accurate billing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred).
• 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally in construction.
• Proficiency in Sage 100 and strong knowledge of accounting principles.
• Experience with job costing and invoice management in a construction environment.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
