Tax Preparer

Description We are looking for a skilled Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis in White Plains, New York. This role is ideal for someone who is detail oriented and has experience handling individual and business tax returns, including multistate filings. Responsibilities:

- Prepare accurate individual and business tax returns, including W2s, 1040s, and 1120s.

- Manage tax filings for both low and high net-worth individuals.

- Handle multistate tax preparation to ensure compliance across various jurisdictions.

- Perform light bookkeeping tasks to support financial accuracy.

- Assist with sales tax reporting and payroll tax submissions.

- Utilize Pro Series, Quick Books, and Excel software to complete tax-related tasks efficiently.

- Provide excellent customer service and address tax-related inquiries from clients.

- Stay updated on federal, state, and local tax regulations to ensure proper filings.

- Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines during peak tax seasons. Requirements - Proven experience in individual and corporate tax preparation.

- Familiarity with multistate tax filings and regulations.

- Proficiency in using Pro Series, Quick Books, and Excel.

- Strong understanding of federal and local tax codes.

- Ability to perform light bookkeeping and sales tax reporting.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in tax calculations.

- Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
