On-Call Fitness Instructor

Overview

Presbyterian Homes & Services is seeking a On-Call Fitness Instructor forour team.

The Fitness Instructor leads, instructs and motivates individuals or groups in exercise activities in assigned PHS locations. This may include aquatic exercise activities if aquatic facilities are located on the assigned campus. The Fitness Instructor works with the Fitness Director to develop the curriculum and lesson plans necessary to ensure classes are delivered to address the wellness objectives of the participants.

Additional responsibilities include:

ensuring the facilities and equipment are operating safely, maintaining a high level of sanitation and cleanliness in the Fitness areas, and ensuring program and services are operated in accordance to policies and procedures as well as State and local regulations.

Hours available Monday
- Friday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm with occasional Saturdays. Primary need is at Waverly Gardens, but hours may be available at other surrounding sites including:
Harbor Crossing, The Farmstead, Scandia Shores and Summer House of Shoreview.

REPORTING STRUCTURE:
The Fitness Instructor reports the the Fitness Director at the designated HUB.

Some of the responsibilities of the Fitness Instructor include (but are not limited to):

• Conduct professional classes in balance, strengthening, flexibility, endurance and additional topics which may be of benefit to the participants of the Fitness Center.
