Salary: $18.00/hr

Closing Date: The district will be hiring 6 individuals to fill positions. This posting will remain open until March 17th. First review of applicants will take place on March 4th. Additional applications will be reviewed upon submission.

Freedom School Dates: Monday through Friday from June 29 – August 7, 2026. Mandatory MN Chapter training on May 16th.

Program

Hours:

8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Willow Lane Elementary Schools.

Student Level: Current K‑5 students for 2025‑26 School Year

Performs intermediate human support work assisting Servant Leader Interns in the classroom, while also providing support and assistance to the individual students or small groups to help them better understand program content and completing tasks and assignments. A Junior Servant Leader Intern also supervises students outside the classroom during breakfast, harambee, lunchtime, field trips, and/or recess. The CDF Freedom Schools program is a direct service initiative coordinated nationally by the Children's Defense Fund in partnership with local community organizations.

Currently enrolled high school student and minimal experience working with school‑aged children.
