Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, forward‑thinking OT to join the Integrated Neurotherapy Team across Ellesmere Port Hospital and the Countess of Chester Hospital. The role involves managing and treating complex neurological patients within a 24‑bed acute stroke unit, a 17‑bed rehab stroke unit and a community neurotherapy service.

Role Details

Responsibilities
  • Work autonomously as part of an established MDT, undertaking specialist assessment and treatment of complex neurological patients across the acute, rehab and community settings.
  • Plan, organise your own and junior staff members’ caseloads to meet service and patient priorities; provide education and supervision to less senior staff.
  • Actively participate in all integrated team processes and contribute to service development through continuous improvement projects.
  • Organise and attend reviews, case conferences and referral meetings, providing specialist advice and supporting MDT decision‑making.
  • Participate in the weekend acute stroke rota, delivering assessment and treatment to new stroke patients as required.
  • Commitment to Diversity and Equality
