Support Worker, Mental Health

Role Overview

As a Support Worker, you will provide person‑centred care and support to tenants, enabling them to participate in everyday life and a wide range of activities. The team works across both schemes and undertakes outreach work to support individuals with a learning disability, some of whom have mental health needs.

• Deliver support in all aspects of daily living and personal care in a dignified manner.
• Use positive communication and engagement skills, showing unconditional positive regard for the people we support.
• Provide flexible support and contribute to a 24‑hour rota, including shift work and sleepovers.

The Penthouse and Crows Nest services are situated within The Coliseum in Whitby, boasting picturesque views across the harbour. The service is easily accessible via public transport, with rail and bus services situated only yards away from The Coliseum.

Creative Support’s Development Pathway offers a structured induction and values‑led training to help staff grow from entry‑level to leadership roles. Full training is provided, as is the opportunity to work towards a QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care.
