Connecting people who perform in Canadian real estat

Love hospitality, live for the mountains, and lead with heart? You might be exactly who we’re looking for to join a premium boutique hospitality destination in one of Canada’s most iconic mountain resorts.

Your New Employer

Your new employer is an award-winning boutique hotel located in the heart of Whistler Village. This hotel is known for its warm hospitality, breathtaking views, and thoughtfully designed accommodations, including spacious suites with full kitchens and amenities. The hotel combines the independence of a boutique property with the strength of an engaged ownership group. Together, they are driven by a shared mission: to deliver exceptional, personal, and memorable stays while ensuring consistent operational excellence and a healthy bottom line.

Your New Role

As General Manager, you will be responsible for leading the daily operations of the hotel, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Sales, and Accounting. Your role will involve maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction while driving financial performance and team development. You will set and uphold clear expectations across all departments and ensure the hotel operates with consistency, care, and efficiency.

This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone with a proven track record in boutique or lifestyle hotel operations, someone who leads with both strategy and personality, and thrives in a dynamic, intimate setting where no detail is too small. You understand how to balance guest satisfaction with strong financial performance, and you’re just as comfortable reviewing revenue reports and driving profitability as you are stepping in to support your team during busy moments.

You set clear expectations around cleanliness, service, and results—creating an environment where both guests and staff feel supported, even in the fast‑paced rhythm of a seasonal resort. Detail‑oriented and solutions‑focused, you lead by example and bring out the best in your team.

In addition to overseeing operations, you will act as the face of the hotel, representing the hotel within the community, with partners, and across digital platforms. You will contribute to strategic marketing efforts, collaborate on social media and brand storytelling, and ensure the hotel’s public image reflects its values and unique personality. Working closely with ownership, you will have input on key promotional initiatives, partnerships, and public relations strategies that support both short‑term performance and long‑term brand strength.

What Sets You Apart

The ideal candidate brings at least five years of leadership experience in hotel operations, preferably in a boutique or lifestyle property. You are highly organized, calm under pressure, and genuinely passionate about delivering thoughtful, personalized hospitality. You possess a comprehensive understanding of revenue management, budgeting, forecasting, and hospitality performance metrics such as ADR, RevPAR, and GOP. You are passionate about team development and have a hands‑on, mentorship‑driven leadership style.

You also bring strong guest service recovery skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations and maintain a positive brand reputation.

You demonstrate a strong understanding of all hotel departments, from rooms and maintenance to sales and accounting. You are comfortable representing the property in public‑facing roles, from social media to community engagement, and you bring a strategic mindset to every aspect of operations. A degree or diploma in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, and familiarity with the Whistler and Vancouver hospitality markets will be considered an asset.

What You Can Expect

You can expect to step into a respected leadership role within one of Canada’s most iconic mountain destinations. This…
