- Assignment Type: Travel RN, On‑site (13‑week assignment)
- Unit: Intermediate Care Unit (IMU) – Cardiac Stepdown / Cardiac Telemetry
- Start Date: March 1, 2026
- End Date: May 31, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12‑hour nights (7:00 pm – 7:00 am); weekends as scheduled

Hours:
36 hours per week - Openings: 3 RN positions available
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 – $2,130
- Charting System: Allscripts (Sunrise) – experience with electronic charting preferred
- Scrub Color: Navy blue top & bottom, navy scrub jacket (no hoodies)
- Active RN license (we will wait for state RN license if needed)
- Minimum 1 year recent acute care RN experience;
Stepdown/IMU/Telemetry experience preferred (Telemetry RN experience highly valued) - Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips independently; strong telemetry monitoring skills
- Competency in titrating cardiac drips:
Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Labetalol, Nitro, Heparin (Lasix occasionally) - Unexpired driver’s license required at submission
- Must disclose any licensing issues at time of submission
- Travel nurse eligibility: must live outside a 50‑mile radius from Wheeling, WV
- Flexibility to float to Telemetry or Med‑Surg units as needed
- Provide safe, high‑quality nursing care to intermediate‑acuity cardiac patients (chest pain, CHF, arrhythmias, post‑pacer, pre/post cath, Tikosyn therapy)
- Continuously monitor and accurately interpret telemetry strips; elevate changes in patient condition according to protocol
- Titrate and monitor cardiac drips per provider orders and unit protocols
- Perform pre‑ and post‑cath care, including radial band management and groin checks (no sheath pulling)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members: hospitalists, intensivists, respiratory therapists, pharmacy, and IV/PICC teams (in‑house 24/7)
- Float to Telemetry or Med‑Surg as needed (typical ratios up to 1:6; rarely 1:7 in Med‑Surg)
- Document accurately and efficiently in Allscripts/Sunrise to support quality patient care
- Adhere to unit policies for attendance, scheduling, and patient safety
