Job Description
The Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will provide care to patients in a 52-bed unit with all private rooms. Responsibilities include managing a patient assignment along with support from a Clinical Assistant and Nurse Aides. The role involves a variety of post-surgical care situations, including orthopedic and general surgeries. The RN will also collaborate with in-house hospitalists and intensivists.
Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients.

• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and quality care.

• Monitor patient status and manage post-operative care effectively.

• Work within established guidelines for IV management and patient assessments.

• Participate in routine staffing and shift activities, including charge nurse duties.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.

• BLS certification required; NIHSS certification required.

• ACLS certification is a plus.

• Experience in medical-surgical nursing is preferred, specifically with postoperative care.

• Preferred experience with peritoneal dialysis.
